– French used to be a monarchy – so their possessions at the time would be part of either French kingdom or French empire
– Denmark used to have possessions in Caribbean ( and still does in Greenland )
– Netherlands is a monarchy – so Dutch possessions should be on a list
– What about precolumbian empires ?
– many of the tribes / first nations in America were monarchies ( chief is basically a king under a different name )

Canada is a monarchy. so is Jamaica and several other islands.
This would make for a bad-ass country. Port-au-Prince as the capital of this great nation.
