      I’ll never understand why people think it’s a good idea to put cameras connected to the internet INSIDE their home.

      I find it hard to believe that many people had these things pointed at their bedrooms…

      You should treat it as a given that any camera you have pointed at you can (and will) be hacked eventually. Including laptop webcams, etc- definitely worth the roughly $1 investment to get an adjustable cover

      I never understood home cameras, least of all ones connected to the internet

      On a spicy forum I visited a while back they had a whole section specifically for unprotected home cams. There was video footage from every single region of the world.

      There’s people out there having intimate relations in the privacy of their own homes not realising they are being watched and recorded by hundreds of people.
