Why do you think they are using Donnie Kneepads and his cronies to try and bully Ukraine into giving up with these bullshit „peace plans“?

Handling war and stagflation will require making some difficult choices if this condition persists

Russia’s exports are way down…no one is touching them at this point.

Russia is a self inflicted state of perpetual suffering. Once Putin is dead someone else will continue it. They’ll never grow up and come to their senses

It needs to continue until implosion! This way: peace achieved for Ukraine and fast rearmament for further agression at least temporarily prevented.

Not just in recession yoy: contracting 1,5% from 2022.
That seems bad.

Russia can’t get poor enough. The less money they have the less able they are to butcher their neighbors.

I though war efforts usually boosted economies? Or is that only when you’re winning them?

And all I’ve been hearing are explosive sounds in the petrochemical industry – it wasn’t growth? How naive of me.

We can all help crush Russia’s economy faster by boycotting oil and gas. Even if your oil and gas doesn’t come from Russia, reducing the worldwide demand will reduce the price, which means less money for Russia.

Drag it on for a few more years and Russia will not be able to invade anyone for decades. The only thing is the death toll to Ukraine is gonna be brutal. But it could be the most effective defense against Russia in the long term.

They may be in bad shape, but they get some money coming from the oil transports via the shadow fleet. No wait it started to go boom too, didn’t it?

I read that China and India are demanding huge discounts on oil it purchases from Russia. Despite being an energy rich country it is huge trouble. The people in the outer regions are also really feeling the pain but until people in Moscow start to feel the pain nothing will happen.
Also Russia has been delaying infrastructure work for very long time and sent so many young men off to war to be killed. Even if the war ends tomorrow Russia is going to suffering for a long time. It won’t have the workers to actually do anything. (Also a huge brain drain to avoid being sent to war).
Putin won’t live forever and whoever his successor will be won’t have a lot to sell off to shore up their support. Things are looking very bad all round.

In the south they tried to teach me that wars bring so much industry it fixes the economy. They were telling students ww2 is what ended the Great Depression, not FDRs social spending and infrastructure investments

Putin don’t care. He’ll gladly drive the country into the ground as long as he can get more bodies, more arms, and more vehicles.
After all, it’s not like him or the politburo are personally going to be affected. And the ones that are wind up on an all-expenses paid vacation out the nearest high-rise window.
