This guy is weird 😆 he reminds me of that evil puppet comedian.
Not happy with spending increases , not happy with spending decreases.
Is a housing expert now.
Its almost like he wrote Trudeaus economic policies and now anything that deviates from our horrible budgets of the past is unacceptable and devious.
The gov’t has no long-term plan, no targets, no KPIs, no accountability metrics. 5 years from now, we won’t know if their new housing program worked because there are no benchmarks.
The housing minister has made it clear that their top priority is to protect homeowner equity. So this is just a continuation of Trudeau-era policies where they announce programs and do photo-ops to pretend that they care about affordable housing while not actually doing anything about it, and now everyone’s happy as far as they’re concerned.
If you want to do public housing right, look to Vienna (7000 units per year), look to Singapore (10-40,000 per year) — and these are cities grant you. What do they do? They allocate a huge chunk of money, every year, to build build build, and build they do. Anything less is performative.
