      None of this makes any difference whatsoever.

      – Mathematically impossible for a 60K lead to be caused by 11K newcomers, *even if* you make the unlikely assumption that all or most voted immediately after gaining citizenship
      – Also literally the same outcome as if the referendum had simply taken place 2-3 months later.
      – The „Yes“ side only achieved the level of support that it did through the seductive lie of „sovereignty association“ (i.e., all the benefits of union with none of the mutual obligation).
      – Meanwhile, 2/3 of Quebeckers today are against separation. Full stop.
