    1. Minnesota hasn’t elected a Republican in a two-person race since 2002.

The last time a Republican was elected for ***anything*** statewide was Tim Pawlenty (governor) in the blue wave year of 2006. He barely won and there was a center-left independent challenger who pulled in more than 6% of the vote. Significant because Pawlenty won by only 1 point. That same year saw all the other statewide offices go to Democrats (U.S. senator, Secretary of State, AG, Auditor).

Did a double take, thought „Wasn’t Arnold Schwarzenegger just Governor of California?“ and then realized he was governor from 2003–2011…. time goes by so fast.

Phil Scott, the Republican governor of Vermont, is a quite moderate Republican

If you look on the dem side, the following states have NOT had democratic governors

      Alabama

      Alaska

Arkansas (if you don’t count the wee early days of 2015)

      Florida

      Georgia

      Idaho

      Indiana

      Iowa

      Mississippi

      Nebraska

      North Dakota

      Ohio

      Oklahoma

      South Dakota

      South Carolina

      Tennessee

      Texas

      Wyoming

    5. Is this map when each state last “had” one, or last “elected” one?

If it’s “had”, then New Mexico would be with the blue. They had a Republican until 2019.

    6. Massachusetts had a good run…two terms of Weld (R) in and then two terms of Romney (Mormon Republican) for two terms

    7. Well, NC had one in 2015 but he was ousted in 2016. NC has a long tradition of going Red for Pres, Blue for Gov (by & large). In a year NC won’t be blue here

I was here thinking NY I wrong but I completely forgot about that one year is Spitzer followed by Patterson and thought Pataki was the Governor before Cuomo

Pataki hasn’t been governor since 2006!

Why do people think it makes a difference which party you vote for or belong to ?
      They both work for Corporations.
      Not people

Pennsylvania shocks me. Democrats need to get it together because Pennsylvania has one of the most dysfunctional state governments.
