I don’t know how you can build a bitumen pipeline to Prince Rupert without going through a designated protected area that will be politically toxic for the BC NDP to alter/shrink. Furthermore, it’s not like there wouldn’t be potentially significant ecological damage if an oil spill occurs in the vicinity of Prince Rupert.

Does she know the meaning of „work with“?
Everything I see from her is variations of „do what I want“
We’ll have to wait and see.

I want B.C. to MAKE money off of this. I don’t want my tax money to go towards paying some corporation to build stuff only to dismantle when it’s all done leaving us with billions in cleanup.
B.C. invests, but we get a shitload of oil money.

At this point BC should just introduce its own tanker ban. There is presidence for it. Nova Scotia restricts traffic in the Cumberland Striaght to protect Wright Whale populations. BC could issue tonnage restrictions and ban liquid bitumen from its northern waters for environmental protections. Just short circuit this entire debate.

No, Danielle, see you’ve got it all wrong.
You HAVE to work with BC if you want this built.
No one in my province gives a shit what you „want to“ do.
