Letzte Woche kam ich nach Hause und sah dieses Stück gelbe Schnur, das aus meinem Briefkasten hing. Ich habe es entfernt und heute hat jemand ein weiteres Stück Schnur dorthin gelegt. Keine anderen Postfächer haben diese Zeichenfolge. Weiß jemand warum und wer das getan hat? Ich lebe in Zürich, wenn das für den Kontext hilfreich ist. Ich bin kein Schweizer und das sieht man schon an meinem Namen, und ich habe mit Rassismus seitens der Leute in der Nachbarschaft zu tun gehabt, also war mein erster Gedanke, dass es sich dabei um rassistische Angriffe handelt.

Could be a test from a thief. He watches and note the times when it gets removed to see when you are home and when its time to try his luck.
I’d suspect a check for regular presence before anything else.
Change a thing the resident will definitely notice and correct, maybe a couple of times. The places that don’t correct the change are not being frequented and a potential target for a break-in.
