Has anyone had experience with getting HPV vaccine through public insurance (TK)

    1. I am an AOK member, but the process should be similar.

I told my doctor that I wanted the HPV vaccination. My doctor ordered two vaccination doses from the local pharmacy and administered the first one to me. Shortly afterwards, I received an invoice from the pharmacy (ca 400€ for two doses) and I transferred the money to the pharmacy. I then uploaded the pharmacy invoice to the AOK app and a few days later I received a 100% refund for the vaccine.

One month after the first vaccination, I received the second one. The doctor issued me a private invoice for approximately €60-70 for the first and second vaccinations themselves. I paid the invoice by bank transfer to the doctor and uploaded it to the AOK app. I then received approximately €18 back.

Six months after the first vaccination, I had the third vaccination. The doctor orders the vaccine from the pharmacy. I receive an invoice from the pharmacy (ca. €200 for 1 dose), transfer the money and submit it in the AOK app. The AOK transfers 100% back to me. I receive a private invoice from the doctor (approx. €30-35), transfer the money to the doctor, submit it to the AOK, and the AOK transfers approx. €8-9 back to me.

So in the end, I paid approx. €60-70 out of my own pocket.
