      The condos could house 790 people.

      80% of the buyers would be Chinese, 20% Koreans… So of course there are protests.

      If the condos were for white people, those protestors would drop their signs and start helping the construction company build, for free

      The condo project as described does sound pretty suspect so I can understand the opposition, but at the same time a city in a demographic death spiral like that is probably going to regret giving the anti-foreigner element the power dictate things like this.

      The golfers and their money and the businesses and jobs they create will go elsewhere – maybe to a different country instead.
