      But I don’t think they will listen.

      AI is undermining every level of our educational system.

      Wether we like it or not AI is going to be a huge part of our future. It’ll take over most things. Probably best to embrace it rather than fight against it IMO

      No! Prepare them for the future instead, that’s what education is supposed to be about! Become good at using AI, otherwise you won’t have a job.

      To everyone saying AI is the future and there’s no reason for learners not to use it, people in education aren’t given homework because the homework needs to be done but to learn.

      AI undermines the development of critical thinking and problem solving. It also defeats the purpose of the homework, which is, again, to *learn*.

      AI literally smoothes your brain.

      It’s fine to use it for research, organization, and menial tasks(like deciding what to eat for dinner type shi, i use it for recipes a lot)

      Do not let it think for you.

      Do not let it replace your ability to actually learn.

      That’s how you get replaced by it.

      What he should do is tell teachers to make students use ChatGPT to answer a question and explain how it is wrong.

      It teaches kids that relying on AI results in falsehoods, and how to debunk it.

      AI is a tool used to give people back their time. Yes, they aren’t “learning” the lesson; however, they are figuring out a way to maximize their time that wasn’t available for the people here wasting their time on Reddit.

      Not sure whats sadder. Kids thinking they are winning by using AI, or the pope thinking his opinion will have any effect on them.
