And people wonder why Alberta in particular and western Canada in general hated this guy and thought he was toxic.

Glad to see the back of him. He made an absolute hash of the environment ministry and came across as a complete caricature of a champagne socialist from the Plateau. His “no new road infrastructure” in **Canada** was a particularly good hit of his.

That + him running his mouth about projects that had nothing to do with his ministry probably meant it came to a “quit or be fired” decision from Carney. Carney gave him a chance to stay in Cabinet and be a team player, he wouldn’t, so them’s the breaks.

Personally, I wouldn’t mind if he created a new Green Bloc with likeminded Liberal, NDP, and Conservative MP’s, including Elizabeth May. They could as a whole support the Liberal government in matters where they’re not destroying the environment.

    3. I haven’t always liked him as a minister but I greatly respect this, personally. Anyone willing to give up power rather than compromising their beliefs/morality is alright in my books.
