I call bullshit on that. Our government couldn’t figure out how to run an oil company successfully. We couldn’t pay people to build EVs. But they want government run critical minerals? A notoriously hard industry to do successfully
We don’t have enough investors within Canada to fund this stuff internally. And as soon as people see the bill on government involvement they will be outraged. Only about 50-70% of Easterners not knowing about the Potash industry explains a lot haha
Lucky for Canadians is they don’t get to decide who buys it. Corporations do & they will gladly take foreign money for the right price.
