who that?
i think we are at the point where we need to get very serious about AI, things like this should end with jail terms for creators and those involved in supplying the models for them.
This will become a self-solving problem, in the sense that these things will become so common that nobody will pay attention to them anymore. She was unlucky it happened to her in 2022. By 2027, we will probably be used to deepfakes being circulated against every politician.
I saw [this video]( https://youtube.com/shorts/ycBcuO432bc?si=HsKfCxP-mz8FFYZM) on YouTube short last night. We are truly doomed. The people in this video are even starting to questioning themselves… „did I really do that?!“
We need a hard ban on deep fake bullshit. Like I’m so tired of the constant enshitification, being angry this often just isn’t sustainable.
For people calling for jail time for those creating the software and supplying models : its not that simple.
The software and models are generic. They can be used for all sorts of normal uses
You can also use it to create porn. And for malicious creators all they need is a few images of their target to add information to a generic model to create images of the target (Im vastly simplifying but thats it in a nutshell)
The software and models are all open source now. Anyone can modify them or add to them. And like all dual use technologies, this could be used for good or evil.
The first priority should be more strict regulations protecting workers against AI taking their jobs
The problem will be fixed really quickly when the porn made is of people of power, or AI ceo’s families
A man can rape multiple children and become president. But one AI porn video of a women….
We’re about 5 minutes away from “pics or it didn’t happen” becoming useless as evidence. Non‑consensual deepfake porn is bad enough on a personal level, but as a political weapon it’s basically asymmetric warfare: cheap to create, insanely costly to rebut, especially under election time pressure. I’d treat this like revenge porn plus election interference: strict liability for creators and distributors, fast takedown channels, and mandatory provenance tools (signing/origin metadata) for campaigns. Otherwise “that’s a deepfake” becomes the new universal denial too.
Disgusting!! Where?? What website? There’s so many
Buuuuunch of bots on here defending generative AI at no end. It’s dumb tech that we were fine without. We don’t need to enable fraud porn making tech so that your aunt can turn her kids picture into an „oil painting“
Now I’m going to wait for all the comments telling me how good AI is, all while entry level jobs are being decimated. It’s bad technology that we really don’t need.
People are vile
When the Epstein files are released, Trump will claim it’s all AI and real crimes like this will normalize that problem enough so people don’t know what is true anymore
The best thing about this article is reading the comments by people who have no idea how ai works and their ideas for regulating it.
Seriously, it’s like watching children discuss quantum computing. Just regurgitating words they heard somewhere and they think they understand the subject.
horrible. what video?
I know this sounds casual.
But it’s fake.
Those who see it and attach any realism to it are fools.
The victim should not let this consume them.
Voice replication in generative AI video deepfakes should be illegal
Never heard of her. Never would have if it wasnt for this possible publicity stunt.
I’ve tried to find the video. No luck.
