    1. This is a tremendous amount of firepower parked off the coast.

Having a Carrier strike group, an amphibious readiness group (these carry marines to the beach for ground assault), and all their support DDGs and cruisers. Then to mention all the land based aircraft in PR.

Holy shit, I’m really starting to think we’re gonna go something stupid 🤦‍♂️

looks like Uncle Sam’s got a new sandbox. Just sayin‘, massive naval buildup’s rarely a gud sign.

„There’s nothing to see here folks, keep moving along“ /s

    4. Missing a few SSNs in the mix. No carrier group is without 1 or 2 at least then 1 or 2 more SSN solo roamers.

    5. What if this has less to do with a buildup of force in the Caribbean, and more to do with creating a power vacuum elsewhere to ‚allow‘ something else to happen?

Just a thought that occurred to me. I hope it’s not accurate.

Looks like US intervention in South America is back on the menu

We just got off a cruise that had to take a wild change of course in the middle of the night to avoid them, I was sleeping on the balcony one night and heard machine gun fire, I assume they were drilling or whatever, was kinda wild.

Maduro has to go. He was defeated in a fair election in 2018, but refused to step aside and instead imprisoned all opposition. Since he can no longer sell oil, he supports his government of drug revenue which Trump is presently blasting to bits at sea. All the need to do is step in with a few surgical strikes, free the opposition and stand back. Venezuela will be free again. But for that 10% of the population loyal to Maduro, the balance of the country will celebrate when he’s gone.

    9. Narcos just gonna partner with shipping to Columbia and waving from the plane once airborne.

    10. Oh look, another country with large amounts of oil that we are going to send young men to die for. Cool cool cool.

    11. I wonder if the US is trying to protect Guyana from Venezuela because the US has interest in the Guyanese oil discovery.

    12. The US is again attacking unfriendly oil-rich countries to protect their sales. Like Libya, Iraq before. Don’t be fooled by the drugs talk.

There are 2 squadrons of A-10’s in Valdosta Ga, that can be refueled in air and can be supplied and fueled at Roosevelt Roads in PR ! the exact amount that took out Iraq in 4 days
