BBC published an [article](https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/czrk7g50e1po?fbclid=IwZnRzaAOaB8NleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAo2NjI4NTY4Mzc5AAEe5ctXwFcagaSAq4Z9aHBl4C_G__DvzfcmOiHyp1-qp2E82CNmMFl9IHJJe5g_aem_R7Xc1ZKdjYC2IJL4NeVCdw) claiming the Georgian government used chemical agents against protesters.

Georgian Dream says these accusations are completely false and based mostly on comments from activists, accused individuals, and people “with an agenda.”

They insist they gave BBC full, detailed answers to every question, but the outlet barely used any of it in the final piece.

The government also points out BBC’s recent scandals and claims the outlet has basically turned into a politicized, unreliable source.

They frame the article as a deliberate attempt to discredit the government, police, and Georgia itself.

Because of all this, Georgian Dream says they will take legal action against the BBC in international courts for spreading false information.

    2. BBC is a left wing political arm nobody trusts anymore. And they have a $1 billion lawsuit against trump for doctoring his speech. Very deceptive.

Their reputation gets worse by the year….

    3. So here is the thing… Whatever they used last year, was not normal tear gas for sure. I got to experience tear gas at other protests in Germany and what I got hit with there was a completely different experience from what I was hit with here.

Was it some crazy ww1, potentially banned chemical weapon? I didn’t know. Do I believe these asshole would do that? Absolutely, without a doubt. Did it feel like „regular“ tear gas from protests in Germany I’ve been to? No, not at all.

The only other time in my life my lungs burned as much as during the protests last year, was when I stupidly used a very very very strong insecticide indoors without proper ventilation.

Most upsetting fact, for me, is that none of Georgian journalists did an investigation about this or made it a theme of the moment. Also none of medical organisations spoke about this and people have to find out they’ve been exposed to illegal chemical weapon year later from a foreign journalists. Says tons about our country.

As for Lawsuit against BBC good luck with that…
