      Republicans only see citizenship as a right for the wealthy elite. For everyone else, it’s a privilege that can be revoked at any time, for any reason.

      The German Nazis found ways of giving the same thing a legal veneer. The Denaturalization Law revoked the citizenship if many naturalized Jews, especially those from Eastern Europe. Later, they created a lower class of state subjects by restricting citizenship to Germans or related blood. Jews were specifically excluded from citizenship..

      Republican logic:
      1) „We can do whatever we like to non-citizens.  The Constitution only grants rights to US citizens.“

      2) „We can denaturalize anyone we want.“

      3) „Therefore, we can do whatever we want to whoever we want.“

      4) „The founding fathers would have agreed that the president should be able to do whatever he wants to whoever he wants.“

      5) „We hold these truths to be self-evident, that the president’s word is law, and that all men are endowed by the Constitution with rights that the president can take away whenever he wants.“

      White people voted for this. Particularly the men and the olds. I’m tired of apologizing or trying to empathize with them. Fuck them all. I look like and resemble the average MAGA voter. I can say „not all white men“, but you’re okay to assume I suck too. At this point we should have to prove we’re not part of the problem when 70+% of us are.

      Every time I see a video of some obese farmer in Arkansas whining about soy bean prices I can’t help but chuckle because I know that same farmer voted for what’s happening to him. He voted for it in part because he was convinced by right wing media that brown people were the ones sucking off the government teat and not him.

      Birthright citizenship and naturalization are the only two ways you can become a citizen.

      If those are both overturned and can be arbitrarily revoked by the president, then ANYONE’S citizenship status can be revoked at any time.

      Wonder if the MAGA people knew they were voting for US citizenship to be made worthless.
