They did. Twice.
Impeachment is a waste of effort. It will never happen as long as the GOP is the majority in the House and the Senate. And, it will also take sizable democrat majorities in both because there will always be defectors (e.g., the 8 assholes who voted with the Republicans in the Senate).
Democrat effort would be better spent on winning majorities in the House and the Senate at the midterms and then rejecting anything Trump wants until his term ends.

So, a third impeachment? It could happen when/if the Democrats gain the majority in the House. But it would be as effective as the two impeachments in Trump’s first term.

Impeachment is the House acting like a grand jury. The House brings charges and then presents their case to the Senate. The Senate must then vote to remove the President.
