    1. I once asked what the etiquette for rubbing one out under the table is and he never answered, the charlatan.

For way too long I thought this said he died in Fredrikstad.

Also, nothing says British etiquette more than cutting a scone in two by elaborate rules while shit talking other countries, including their own colony.

    3. En etikette-guru som eter banan med kniv og gaffel, vel å merke.

      Umulig å ta seriøst vel?

Well known British professional etiquette expert William Hanson, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Hanson_(author) released earlier this year a video to promote his new book «Just good manners», and for some reason namedropped Fredrikstad, Norway, as a place where he might not fit in:

«Can you imagine if I had been born in Australia and rocked up to teach napkin manners to a tech startup in Wagga Wagga? [eyeroll]

Or if I were Norwegian and dared discuss how to split a scone in Fredrikstad?»

    5. Well, if I ever become Eternal Dictator of Norway, my first edict will be to make Fredrikstad and Sarpsborg massive parking lots.

„Etiquette“ on that level is for people who have a hard time finding a reason to feel good about themselves, and therefore spend their time looking for someone they can look down upon for not knowing the minute details of the social code they invented.

I am pretty sure people in Fredrikstad couldn’t care less, and just go on being happy the way they always have.
