I don’t think anyone should question whether AI should be regulated by the government or not. It absolutely should. The question really is do we want it regulated by the Trump administration.
At a certain point it should be governed just like nuclear weapons.
I do not know how hell you are going to govern AI at Federal Level but Data at state level
