Couldn’t they just put it in the freezer? Or in this scenario, have all the freezers stopped working as well?

I guess they’re assuming that the black sea would flood into the Caspian sea and thus flood central Asia?

Why would water suddenly fill Caspian and Aral sea, even if global sea level rose?

The national anthem of India is already in Bangla. Bangladesh playing the long game 😎

That’s not all of Asia tho I can’t see my country and apparently I’m in Asia

Also Congratulations to Afghanistan too. You won’t be landlocked either.

how many meters of sea rise was this? Looks like more of Indonesia and Philippines would be ok than I expected. It’s mostly forest covered areas that survive, I guess humanity would try to cut that down as a way to survive.

I just realized that Puri would be in water as well, so my hometown Bhubaneswar will get a beach wtf

Philippines looked better than I thought until I saw that half of Luzon is underwater

As someone from nepal (a landlocked country), this is my biggest dream, to touch the sea.

I’m not familiar enough with asia from space to tell the difference without an original beside it. I’ll take your word for it though.

Most densely populated regions of South Asia & East Asia are totally gone🤯

Someone else noticed thats this is a repost from 12 years ago. Since then, the sea has risen by 60mm since it was posted on an exponential trajectory. Expecting 2m by 2100 if CO2 emissions didn’t increase since 2017 so AI is helping us reach that target faster!

I can’t be bothered to check tbo lol

So I’m curious how you’re determining sea level rise. Not trying to be snarky, genuinely curious.

A quick Google search says there’s about 41 thousand km³ of ice in the world’s glaciers, while the surface area of the ocean is about 361 million km².

So quick back of the napkin math, that’s 0.00011357340720221 km³ per km², so .1 cubic meter per square kilometer of ocean.

SW Central Asia would be the new Med for people who are bored of Greece and Italy.

    18. So that’s why the US is actively attempting to accelerate climate change.
