A true legend whose works will never be replicated.
If you’re not familiar with his work, [the film of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-f6gON_OMcQ), which he both wrote and directed, is on Youtube.
Saw a revival of The Real Thing last year. Excellent.
May he rest in peace.
He was quite prolific. Over the last fifty odd years I’ve seen about half a dozen of his plays. The ones that stick in my mind are The Real Inspector Hound, and Jumpers. R.I.P. Tom Stoppard.
RIP, The Invention of Love and Leopoldstadt are amongst my favourite plays ever.
