    2. Yay another rich out of touch person. Listen I GET that life isnt over when the aches and pains of aging start. It’s important for us to constantly remind ourselves that despite our age we can still grow mentally and emotionally and life can still be enjoyable. THAT said some of us aren’t as successful as a Hollywood star and some of us have to spend every day grinding. Once we get to a certain point we are just fucking exhausted. I’m 43 and I’m enjoying life but fuck me if I’m staring down the road of never retiring because it took forever for me to earn enough money to both provide and safe comfortable life for my family AND start investing. So excuse me if I look forward to spending my “golden years” popping a 10mg edible and doing a puzzle instead of traveling the world due to my lack of financial privilege.

    3. The Substance was one of the best films that gave an unflinching look at aging especially from the perspective of a woman. I almost feel it’s obligatory that Demi should come out and say this for those who were completely traumatized. With saying that I loved the film. I love how all the comments on this thread are just salty bitter people, who must be feeling their age, getting mad at Demi for being rich and successful saying this. It’s not that serious guys.

I’m not even 40 but life hasn’t gotten better with age. It’s like that fucking Lucy where the conveyor belt keeps speeding up 👩‍🍳☠️

I am sort of pooped from all these celebrity proclamations, and I am older than she is. If she were serious, she would not dye her hair, would let nature do what is does becomingly, would stop showcasing her body as if she were 25, would just let herself be. But no, she can’t. Then she goes and still proclaims her fabulosity. Ugh.

You know who Jane Fonda admires? Vanessa Redgrave, who Fonda believes is far braver than she is, eschewing plastic surgery and just being, now in her 80s. Fonda could not find the courage or strength to do that and freely admits it.

I wonder why she felt compelled to write this. Most people I know who are older just don’t give a shit what other people think.
