I have joked to my wife (a graphic designer) that she should start a company that just evaluates proposed rebrands as an impartial third party. If the rebrand sucks, she explains to the client in detail why they shouldn’t go through with it.

I’m starting to believe that this is a thing someone legitimately needs to do.

It seems every logo is being turned into boring minimal/clinical crap, nothing has colour anymore! Remember the 80s when everything was covered in a million colours? Wasn’t great either but at least things looked exciting and fun

They could have at least used different colours on the star and ‘jr’ for some visual stimulation.

My big issue is that there was most likely some marketing company that was paid €20,000 for this shit.

It’s good they waited until now to do this as the fashion trend for this style is saturated so they can change it again soon

This was a boardroom which couldn’t decide to kill the better (but older) JR brand, or kill the worse (but recently pumped money into) Kids brand. Some mid-forties commerce graduate RTE lifer argued for this.
