This migration isn’t just about platform preference it’s a mass exodus from toxic environments that harm mental health and civil discourse. When users choose platforms with better community moderation, they’re voting for digital spaces that respect human dignity over engagement-at-any-cost algorithms. This represents a growing public demand for online experiences that don’t trade our collective well-being for corporate profit.

Uhhh… sure they are 😂 As a social media manager, this is literally false but okay 👍🏼 No one is „flocking“ to Reddit unless they’re engaging in illegal activity.

While the graph shows a smaller decline than you think, X has definitely died off after the 2022 acquisition for most real world usage. The move to monetized verified users pretty much stopped all the regular users (for me over 350 people I followed) from staying on. I see the same handful of people posting for weeks on end and it doesn’t entice me to post myself. I just keep it to be able to access links that involve an X post/thread.

Trust me I can tell, this place has gone downhill. It used to be a rather nice open form for discussion from varying views, now its a judgmental cesspool where everyone is trying to get you in a „got you“ moment or downvoting things they just dont like.

Wish reddit would implement location features similar to what X just did I think a lot of people would be surprised with the people they’re interacting with.

    6. This headline is BS. The numbers barely changed for Twitter/X from 2021-2025. TikTok and Reddit saw gains, but from this data, it has nothing to do with X.

I’m surprised Facebook gained, I thought it was an old people app.

Reddit hit it’s eternal September a decade ago so it can’t get much worse.

X is mostly bots. Sadly parts of reddit have already lost out to bots and more are coming. Unless Reddit does something to mitigate it this site will be dead in a few years, when it comes to any topics governments and elites care to exercise narrative control over.
