Bär greift Wachmann der Nachtschicht in öffentlicher Toilette im Osten Japans an – The Mainichi

Part of my commute includes a ~2km walk along a dark road, only lit by passing cars, between rice fields. Thankfully it has a sidewalk but I’m still uneasy about bears every time. I feel like it’s just a question of time and luck till it’s me in the news… 

Safety features like properly lit sidewalks aren’t a thing in this rural area…
