In Slovenia, 26 December is a state holiday commemorating the 1990 referendum for independence. It is unrelated to Christmas.
In France, the 26 is also a day off in departments 57, 67 and 68.
The 26th is indeed not an official holiday in Belgium, but in practice most employers give a day off and almost everything is closed.

Since this year (2025) Poland will have 3 days Christmas bank holidays:)
In germany the 24th is a half bank holiday
The 24th is not a holiday in Austria.
Why us a British English word for a particular day off, then exclude it…
Found the MapPorn. Finland and Sweden look kinda like men’s junk.
In Catalonia, 25th and 26th is also public holiday
Poland is red first time this year.
Actually, the big Christmas’s day in Spain is the 6th of January. I mean the day people open presents and everything. But 25th is as well celebrated, just not that important.
In germany 24.Dec u mostly get a half day off work for free
Denmark should be red
Sweden is so fuckin BASED
You should have included the „13th day“, January 6th too. I guess that’s a bank holiday for many countries too?
No, the 24th is not a holiday in Sweden, even though that is they day people celebrate Christmas.
In practice, everyone gets the day off, shops might be open half the day, and if you have to work, it’s treated as a full holiday. But all of that is by contract, not because the government mandates the day off.
Sweden should be green on this map.
The map is zoomed in enough to show Catalonia, Alsace and Moselle in its own colour
Sorry guys, germany also 24th + 25th + 26th (intensive elderly angry noises incomming)
