Ich trinke dieses Wasser jeden Tag, aber ich verstehe nicht, warum es mir so gut schmeckt. Es ist buchstäblich viel schmackhafter als alle anderen. Vielleicht fügen sie etwas hinzu?

Water straight from the tap > any bottled water (depending on where you live ofc)

You can look at the mineral content. If it tastes good it very likely has a comparatively low mineral content (which isnt bad) and hence is soft. (Hard water = not tasty and difficult to drink).

Gerolsteiner on the other hand….my god.

Scan the mineral content on the back with chatgpt.

  3. Depends mostly on the sources it comes from and what it has gone through. Some waters are „sweeter“ than others that filtrate through volcanic rock or mountains for example and have more minerals. All this forms the taste of water.

  4. It’s just water. It’s all more or less the same anyway. Rating bottled water on a scale from 1 to 10 is such a nonsensical idea in and of itself

  5. It could potentially have more of a mineral that your body is low on. So it tastes good to encourage you to drink a lot if it.

  6. They don’t add something to it. It’s just that the water you see everywhere and drink anywhere isn’t pure h2o. There’s always other minerals/chemicals mixed into it, either naturally or artificially (it’s a universal solvent for a reason) In fact [bafg.de](http://bafg.de) is a German federal institute responsible for studying this.

Bottle says it comes from Altmühltal which afaik is known for limestones so I suppose the taste is coming mainly from calcium-bicarbonate

  7. I just want to let people know that water doesn’t taste like anything at all, if you think it tastes bad, it’s due to poor hygiene, please brush your teeth and take care of your gums too

Tap water enjoyers I have a question: Tap water quality is considered top quality and often controlled. But what about by the end line, when the nice water goes trough the old 1900 Altbau? Even if the building was Saniert, how rich in nice minerals and biosphere could those pipes be?

  9. If you need to buy bottled water at all, try Wilhelmsthaler or Caldener! On the other hand, looking for water that is bottled close to where you live will at least somewhat reduce emissions due to transport, so if you do not live close to Calden, a different water might be be better.
