Wasn’t everyone lip syncing? Some performers weren’t even facing their microphones or moving their lips when lyrics were sung.

    2. The only people guaranteed to perform live at this event are the marching bands. Anyone expecting otherwise should have slept in this morning.

I just thought it was odd with some off brand TMNT characters in the background

    4. They’re mad about lip syncing? When I read the headline I thought he performed Arab Money and pissed people off

    5. Busta was quoted as saying „This is serious. You should have a healthy fear of us. ‚Cus too much of us is dangerous.“

      What a menace 😦

Good thing the Irish AI news blog is here to tell us how ~~America~~ ChatGPT feels about Busta Rhymes’ Thanksgiving performance in 2025.

If you pay to go to a concert and the artist is lipsyncing, then you can „fume“ but if you see them at a parade or on TV or for free in general, who cares?

    8. Oh thank God I thought that there was a real controversy I really like busta so glad it was something stupid

    9. Probably not a lot of real estate on those floats to stealthily mount lyrics-prompter(s)

If you lip sync at a concert full of your biggest fans go fuck your self but doing it at a parade or awards show? Who cares

    11. There were definitely a lot of other artists all lip syncing as well, some weren’t even trying to hide it. Weird that people pick one artist as the scapegoat for what I imagine all (or most) of the other artists were also doing

    12. Everyone was lip syncing. Lil Jon did his best to cover his mouth that entire set of 4 words

I was more mad at how long it took me to realize I wasn’t watching Tracy Morgan.

    14. The Macy’s Thanksgiving day performances are almost always lip synced. That’s been the case for decades now. There’s plenty of things to be legitimately upset about in our current state of affairs (2025), this is NOT one of them.

    15. The funnier thing to me was the shaggy float because basically none of his famous songs are family friendly so he could only do a line or two from each

    16. Much_Insurance_3422 on

I was way more confused about the TMNT’s dancing along with him.

      Long way from Ninja Rap.

      Who approved THAT wackiness??

    17. Every performer was lipsyncing.

The only performer they’re upset about is the rapper.

      Happy Thanksgiving America. 🇺🇸🦃

Yes every singer at the parade lip syncs but he did it while being black, so there’s your outrage.

    19. If you want live singing I point you to Jonathan Goff completely off key, yet Sara Hyland nailed it.

People should understand how live broadcasts with a live audience worlds.

Maybe a audio engineer can chime in.

    21. It’s like everyone gets men in black mind wiped every year. This is every single artist every year during the parade

    22. nononsensemofo on

well I must be an idiot because I said out loud „damn he’s the only one not lip syncing“

    23. ZebraComplex4353 on

Lip-syncing is normal for parades. Why is this still an issue? Anything for clickbait I guess

    24. weedisrealcool on

Who cares what people think about these types of events? This isn’t even entertainment news, it’s just hearsay.

    25. I worked on a brand that bought a float, a few years back. Singers are required to lip sync

    26. yetagainitry on

Lip syncing?? THATs what the controversy is? In a world where 80% of the songs are autotuned you care if he’s lip syncing?

    27. ShowdownValue on

I wonder if these same complainers will mention that their favorite musician also lip syncs. All of them do.

I feel like busta is just an easy target here

    28. They all do it, even at concerts people pay hundreds if not thousands just to go. What’s the difference?
