TfL announces new £87 million investment for London boroughs to boost capital’s cycleways – April 2025.
Build decent cycling infrastructure and people start cycling. So much better than the car for short distance journeys and in most cases faster. E Bicycles are also probably helping out.
The 43% increase is over the last six years. I wonder how much of that is just Deliveroo?
Will Reeves be looking at a per mile tax on bicycles next?
I cycle in whenever I can, East London to Bond Street. 9 miles each way, it’s great exersise and cheap commute.
Similar note I binned off my car and got a motorbike.
The sale of my car has paid for 5+ years of my bike including test, bike, insurance, fuel, tax and servicing.
Now all that money goes in my bank and it’s like a pay rise.
