Previous threads on this were so brain dead – people talking about it’ll be delayed by objectors etc when none of that applies to repair works
They actually did that much faster then I thought they would. Credit where it is due on this.

I got so excited for a second because I misread fully as freely.
Great news. I don’t understand why the government doesn’t prioritise more LUAS lines, it’s a vote winner, people will accept the disruption, and the costs are relatively low in comparison to other projects.
Fair play to them.
Not to be a Debbie downer, but I always lol at the road in Fukuoka, Japan that collapsed from a sinkhole and they had it fully repaired in 6 days. Imagine we could move at that pace
They said they’d have it done in November, land they absolutely delivered. Fair play. Delighted to get my easiest commute back.
You have to give the country credit for this. I had a little involvement with it, and I can say that TII and the contractors were pulling out all the stops to deliver this quickly. No expense spared, no red tape, just full focus on a 12 week delivery.
Was expecting 6 months. China would have had it fixed in 2 days.
So, not sure if I’m satisfied.
