Was it like ‚i never *directly* told him to get the fuck out‘ or….?

      As a non-Londoner, I actually quite hope it’s true.

The rest of the country gets absolutely shafted for London.

Edit, for the folk that don’t understand why, you all need to look up the governments „value for money“ calculations and how they will always favour investment in London over the rest of the country and why that shafts the rest of us.

I think Londoners have a right to be hacked off with this government. We have 50% of London boroughs predicted to be “bankrupt” by 2028 and what does Reeves do? Transfer a load of tax from London to Scotland because “Anas asked for it!”

    4. That’s a shame, I’d like her more if she did. London has enough fucking money.

With these lot it feels like we’re actually living in a new series of the thick of it.

      >Ms Reeves responded: „I don’t recognise that characterisation.“

ok so she did and then sadiq went to the press in tears, got it

The byline for this story reads VICKY POLLARD (Westminster Correspondent)

      London should not get anything

London is very inefficient with what it taxes

      Remove exemptions

Why in 2025 is London full of buildings run by religious organisations that attract full tax exemptions?

There are too many suspect organisations classifying themselves as religious organisations

You can probably turn your house into a place of worship to your garden gnome and get away with paying no tax

They’re on the same side. It’s a made up story to make them both look good. Reeves can look tough and Khan can say he’s doing his best for London

London needs to pupe down, shut up and enjoy the new station we all got humped for.
Id take all small boats and cookie cutter london and westminster tf out the country.

I would have more respect if she piped up and told him to do one

London gets far too much anyways and is inefficient at using it like most of the country but they have less to work with.

lol, cities import food from the surrounding area, so what?

      Increase what? And how?

The wealthiest part of the country gets the highest public spending but it ain’t London!

      London:

      GDP per capita: £69,077
      Poverty rate: 26%
      Public spending per capita: £14,486

      Edinburgh:

      GDP per capita: £69,809
      Poverty rate: 17%
      Public spending per capita: £14,759

I’ll never begrudge a politician for asking for money. But for context Rachel represents the third largest city by population and we’re only now getting bus franchising in next couple of years and mass transit is years down the line

First thing she’s done I approve of, and she’s denying it happened.
