🇬🇦 Gabun – Die Militärjunta wurde am 2. Mai 2025 aufgelöst. Derzeit unter ziviler Herrschaft unter dem ehemaligen Junta-Führer
🇹🇩 Tschad – Die Junta wurde 2022 aufgelöst und durch eine Übergangsregierung ersetzt, bis im Februar 2025 ein vierjähriger Übergangsprozess abgeschlossen wurde. jetzt (formell) zivile, verfassungsmäßige Regierung, obwohl das ehemalige Militär weiterhin an der Macht ist.
🇸🇩 Sudan – Das Land steht weiterhin unter militärischer Führung. In einigen Regionen wurde von RSF ein Bürgerkrieg mit einer parallelen Rivalenregierung ausgerufen.
🇲🇬 Madagaskar – Immer noch unter der Herrschaft der Militärjunta.
🇳🇪 Niger – Immer noch unter der Herrschaft der Militärjunta. Unter direkter Militärherrschaft durch die Junta (CNSP). Zivile Institutionen abgebaut; Legislative und Verfassung außer Kraft gesetzt. Teile des Landes werden weiterhin von Dschihadisten dominiert.
🇲🇱 Mali – Immer noch unter der Herrschaft der Militärjunta. Über 60 % des Landes fallen unter die Herrschaft von Rebellen und Dschihadisten.
🇧🇫 Burkina Faso – Immer noch unter der Herrschaft der Militärjunta. Teile des Landes stehen aufgrund eines Übergreifens aus den Nachbarländern Mali und Niger unter dschihadistischer Kontrolle.

Indeed, West Africa, and particularly countries like Mali and Burkina Faso, has become a hotspot of information warfare. Nearly all of these (excepting Sudan) were French colonies and France has kept a lot of post-colonial control through treaties and banking, among other ways. That’s undoubtedly a big contributor to their current conditions. Several of the new regimes are moving their countries away from the use of the French language too.
