Ich ging heute Morgen, um etwas zu essen zu kaufen, und sah Diego majestätisch auf seinem Thron ruhen. Das ist bei Skeifan Hagkaup. Ich möchte mehr über sein Leben erfahren. 😅
he lives on the other side of the big road and walks over the foot bridge to go to the shops in skeifan to hang out, he mostly likes hagkaup and a4

He lives in a home on the other side of Miklabraut, but his „territory“ is in Skeifan. Since Skeifan is a popular shopping area, a lot a people met him. He is probably the cat most posted online as „is this cat missing, I saw him in Skeifan?“ and thus the most famous cat in Iceland. He was kidnapped once by a woman with mental problems if I remember correctly. As he gained popularity the stores accepted him as well, with at least Hagkaup and A4 setting up a bed for him in the store. Despite being the famous Skeifuköttur, he is a loved pet that has a home (ironically not in Skeifan).

I saw Diego at Hagkaup yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing meow?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his paw shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him purring as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen dried haddock fillets in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the fillets and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each fillet and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
