  1. I call bullshit. If it was so.. Ukraine would of have accepted somekind of peace already. This is just White House propaganda. White House propaganda that tries to sweep under the rug 180000 cases of war crimes commited by the russians. 20000 stolen children. An illegal invasion, even since before 2014. If trump capitulates to the criminal putin, this will echo in the USA also. US will lose all credibility, all their allies. Europe will be more united. Canada, Australia, UK, and many many more, will want to strenghten ties with EU, and not the US. ALso Ukraine should call into army, the youngs that weren’t. The ones who ran over the borders. They won’t have where to go back home unless, and foreign countries will not fund their stay anymore if conflict ends.

  2. Bullshit, just give them the long range weapons to batter Russias cash cows and watch them fizzle away.

  3. > U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll delivered a grim assessment.

Offtopic: In my language, „Дриско“ (Drisco) means „shithead“. I think that title serves him well.

*A trump loyalists appointee was sweeping for putin who is trumps boss

    Fixed that for you

  5. Just shows who actually runs the world. When did the us become putin’s little bitch?

Trump said some nonsense about how Russia would take Kyiv within the next 2 months. They are obviously listening too much to Putin’s lies.

Putin’s stooge is destroying America’s reputation and place in the world … all because he is a failure on every level and at everything he touches. His legacy will be glorified in Russia but condemned by the rest of the world.

  8. Imminent defeat was off the table after the successful defense of Hostomel, and the absolute clown show of miles and miles of Russian armor going no where for seemingly weeks. Russia can’t even dream of taking Kyiv anymore, and if we’re basing this assessment off of Russia’s initial definition of victory then this dude is a moron and he shouldn’t be assessing anything much less warning the country that is actually fighting.

  9. Is it the same army secretary who had dinner in Istanbul (or another place, can’t remember) with russian general?

  10. They want to speed up things before russia collapses…
I don’t know if is true, but if they really are using the gold reserve to pay this war we are near…

  11. Lol, is this how close Russia is to total loss?

Remember, winter is coming, and that’s going to be rough.

  12. It might be the opposite that’s happening : Russia might be on the verge of serious trouble.

Russia has invested a lot of resources to try to push the front line, the amount of casualty is staggering and while the Kremlin is not afraid of killing its own citizens, it still has a cost. And yes the Russian army is advancing, but I doubt anybody on the Russian side is satisfied of the pace they are doing so and any general with a calculator is capable of realizing at the current rate the current price to completely subjugate Ukraine is astronomical. The Kremlin has already reduce its ambition abandoning the idea of annexing the whole of Ukraine right now and only demanding the Donbass.

On the other end, Ukraine had developed it’s own long range strike capability with the flamingo missile. And in the last month they lead a devastating campaign against Russian oil production facilities. This is making an already very costly war even more costly. This year for the first time the Russian government announced a reduction of the budget allocated to the army. Even worse there are reports of Russian region who stopped paying bonus to enroll soldiers.

It might be that Putin has realized he has a very narrow window to achieve something before Russia tank is completely dry and the Russian people starts to get very angry and do him like their last tsar. This could explain an increase pressure on Ukraine by Russian agent to sue for peace.

Honest question, is he the first Secretary of the Army who held a rank of first Lieutenant? I feel like
he is woefully unqualified for that position (shocker, I know).

  14. these bastards have been saying this since they offered Zelenski a ride. never trust any of them

My advice to Ukraine is fight on. If you bleed Russia dry enough the member states like Chechnya will break away and cause the eventual total collapse of the last old guard Soviets. Most people view this as a nightmare scenario because the danger the Caucasus breaking from Russia will cause massive instability. This is a good thing though, order forced on you from outside isnt order it is tyranny. Remember you die fighting or you die in Russia prisons (If you make it that far) Even the „Peace treaty“ doesnt provide any true surety of protection from a new Russian attack. Both the USA and Russia signed the Budapest Amendment promising to protect you from attack, look how well thats going. So fight and if you die go down remembering every street they take, every bridge they bomb, every soldier they lose is something they cant afford to replace.

Doesn’t the Ukraine have the backing of all Western Europe? Yeah their defeat isn’t imminent because other countries are scared their next if they don’t help the Ukraine now.

  17. Another example that Trump is in Putins pocket. He must have some serious dirt on the man.

  18. Never thought I’d live long enough to see America become Russia’s bitch but there you go lol

„The U.S. delegation also said America’s defense industry could not keep supplying Ukraine with the weapons and air defenses at the rate needed to protect the country’s infrastructure and population, the sources said.“

Can’t or Won’t. I firmly believe that the United States should honor it’s role in the Budapest Memorandum. How can we ever convince another country to give up nuclear weapons when we won’t honor our promise of security.

Ukraine stood by us in several of our armed conflicts (Iraq and Afghanistan). They are fighting for their survival and this „peace deal“ will only kick the can down the road. For people concerned about the cost, it’s going to cost us a lot more several years down the road. If this peace deal is accepted, Russia will invade again. Ukraine will be weak enough by this peace deal that Russia will probably succeed. Russia will conscript Ukrainian civilians to use in their future war against Europe.

The United States has the opportunity to save American lives and future dollars, but like so many other problems, we will kick the can down the road and hope that it doesn’t happen while we are on watch.

  20. From this European’s perspective, this is simply further proof that the US is not interested in stability here and can’t be relied on when this conflict spreads. I accept that, in the past, we have taken the US for granted, but now we need to start securing ourselves, and if there is any justice, that includes Ukraine.

Pretty wild considering he was in Ukraine to learn about Ukraine’s drone tech and strategy innovations. „You are totally going to lose, but please tell us how to drone, kthx.“

  22. Why would Ukraine believe ANYTHING that comes from the US under trumpet’s administration?

  23. Get bent, babyface!

Ukrainians will never give up, even if the whole World turns against them.
And these kind of demands to the President of the country shows how little U.S. understands Ukraine politics, unlike russia, Ukraine does not have an autocrat that decides every aspect of the government. These two countries are not the same and contrary to American administraton viewpoint it’s not a war between two stubborn warlords.

Mind you the US is selling everything to Ukraine. There are no more gifts Europe is financing everything from the US. The defense industry is saying no to money?? The defense industry is refusing to ramp up production to sell more missiles? That definitely sounds like something the military-industrial complex would do.

It’s wild that we’re here. I remember when Russia invaded there was a large number of commenters on Reddit calling for Ukraine to stop fighting Russia and find a peaceful solution. Russia propaganda goes hard.
