If this map is accurate I’d guess poor air and/or water quality is a factor.
Does the state or city in which the diagnosis was made match the person’s residence? I assume some people would go to a better hospital instead of their small local clinics.
What does black color mean?
Wait until you hear about the multiple-personality-disorder map.
It’s almost entirely focused on one area of the US where the established treatment for childhood sexual abuse etc. was to „lock up“ those feelings in another personality and disassociate.
Literally… the treatment CAUSES the disorder.
