    1. Turns out, making it more expensive to import stuff to be able to make different stuff has a net-negative effect on manufacturing….

A lot of people have voted for a six-time bankrupt businessman to handle the world’s largest economy.

      This is a self-inflicted recession.

His “best efforts?” He has hurt American manufacturing. Small business. The middle class, and the poor. There is no light at the end of the tunnel for his “austerity for thee, not for me.”

    4. and all the Trump voting manufacturing workers are going to say „he’s not hurting the people he needs to be hurting“, like those in Lexington Nebraska.

It’s all part of the America First agenda, apparently leading to plummeting jobs and rising costs, especially in manufacturing.

„Best efforts“? He hasn’t done anything that would reshore manufacturing. Meanwhile, manufacturing jobs increased under Biden.

    7. „Despite Trump’s best efforts to reshore manufacturing – The sane-washing from the media is just comical. There was NEVER a moment where Trump thought of domestic manufacturing. It was about punishing other nations in order to kiss his ring.

Turns out a wildly unpredictable radical tariff regime that changes every two weeks doesn’t encourage business investment.

„best efforts“ from someone incapable of doing a good job means nothing.

Yet again – A participation award.

And him pushing for more AI is only going to accelerate blue-collar unemployment.

The manufacturing jobs migrate to wherever the supplies are, particularly steel and aluminum. If the tariffs remain in force long enough, those jobs are permanently gone.

Wow! Who, besides every economist and most people with a basic understanding of trade and labor markets, could have seen this coming?

What kills me is at 38% approval there’s still 30+ million people to stupid to figure out he’s just a con man

    14. So the guy who literally tried to trademark the phrase, **“You’re Fired!“** did not in fact end up turning out to be the champion for blue-collar workers…

Shocked Pikachu face doesn’t even begin to describe it…

His best efforts would have been to put the infrastructure in place BEFORE enforcing tariffs across the board.

This is what happens when a world leader throws a tantrum about HIS OWN TRADE DEAL.

    16. Remember how fucking old Biden was? Remember how he was too old despite having a successful presidency? Fucking old right?

Manufacturing has lost jobs for 8 straight months. Which everyone predicted.

Just like everyone with a brain predicted every bit of failure Trump is inflicting on us.
