Fascinating to see the variation in soil quality across Europe makes you appreciate how much geography shapes agriculture and development!

Pretty wrong in Norway, that much I can say at once.
Lowlands and flat areas where Norway actually has a lot of agriculture marked as red. Ok maybe the soil quality sucks…
But mountainous areas around where I live marked as yellow. Despite the fact that it’s so high up there isn’t really any soil to speak of and nothing except mountain plants grow there.

Europe needs a big lake where Austria is. It’d really add so much depth to the continent

What’s with ex-Yu being so horrible? As an Albanian, that looks so weird.

Are the patches of yellow in the Sahara oases?

I find it funny how they colored Lake Sevan red, like ofc the soils gonna perform poorly, it doesn’t even exist

Would expect the Nile River delta to be better. Maybe it was better in ancient times?

Nile region not the bread basket anymore?

That poor unfortunate soil of the IJsselmeer, so poor it’s even underwater.
