    1. This is what we get for letting a company buy up all its competitors, supply chain and cut its labor costs and keep jacking prices. We don’t have a lot of choice in this country and thats what keeps the rich getting richer. The margins are huge at Loblaws. Don’t ever think they aren’t. Every sale price you see is not ever down to cost. They still make money, maybe not a lot but that sale is not cost. So if you see a sale on that 25% off, 30% 50% you can get an idea of the margin. That’s just in the store. More profit is hidden in the supply chain.
      We need more competitors.

      Okay but there’s grocery prices and then there are Loblaw’s grocery prices lol. I do okay at Freshco but even among the Weston-owned stores I call Loblaw’s the Frills because it’s sooo much more expensive than No Frills. If I want some really nice fish or a Tofurky I might go there, but that’s about it.
