I imagine that they have been the mods for a lot of them since their infancy. Then the subs blew up and they kept their “CEO” like status, so they approve all rules and views. There is an obvious narrative within Reddit. Those mods are now being paid to push a narrative and try to squash any and all opposing views or signs of different opinions. And control the bots.
