I don’t practice Abrahamism. I don’t care what the child abusers think.

      My partners are all adults.

    2. supercyberlurker on

Well I warn the Vatican against rise in pedophilia, protecting a succession of abusers does not rival saving souls.

Although, a ‘succession of faces’ helps quite a bit when there isn’t an exclusive union.

    4. So are you telling me that from now on, each of your pedo clergy is going to abuse only a single child?

    5. Sorry but the economics of it are really hard to pass up in this economy. Have you split bills between three grown ass adults? The math is mathing.

    6. „Polygamy, adultery, or polyamory are based on the illusion that the intensity of the relationship can be found in a succession of faces“

No its not based on an illusion that a man wants to sow his seed to as many women as possible.

    7. One might blame the economy..
Since people are increasing living with multiple flatmates just to survive. Polyamory Seems like a good financial option…

Polyamory in theory sounds chill and fun but I’ve never met anyone stable in a healthy normal polyamorous relationship the way its theoretically framed. Someone always either gets jealous, or breaks the rules, or lies, and it always turns into a shitshow. And I live somewhere where polyamory and ENM is very frequent, probably more than other cities.

Frequently its just an excuse for men to sleep with multiple women while still reaping all the benefits of a stable settled down relationship.

    9. Until the robed pedos clean up their own house, they need to stay out of every one else’s bedrooms.

    10. There was a nun which gave birth to a girl after a priest impregnated her. They put the child in a cute pink dress, brought it in the cellar and threw it in the oven. I really dont care what church has to say about relationships

His Holiness went on to say “Have you ever even seen an attractive polyamorous person? You think someone whose entire orientation revolved around finding additional sexual partners must logically be sexually desirable in some way, but it’s never the case. This contradiction truly cannot be God’s plan”.

People who foreswear sexual contact for life are offering advice on human sexuality?

    13. I’ve know a few poly people and to be honest it mostly seemed like an arrangement for everyone to keep their head above water in trying economic times. It was like communism with the occasional orgy. They did it to save on food, on rent, on gas, on utilities and also to avoid having to date randos. I highly suspect several of them wouldn’t have been in their polycule if they were more financially secure.

Hey Vatican, take some real meaningful actions against the pedophiles wearing the cloth, then you can talk about sex and relationships.

    15. MetalEnthusiast83 on

I’ve never seen an attractive person who said they were poly. Makes you think.

    16. I’m all for personal choice. However, everyone I know who’s ever been or is currently poly have never been happy. It just doesn’t work for most people.

    17. The only thing that would be shocking to me is if poly people cared what the vatican says

    18. Don’t rake relationship advice from people who only have one with their imaginary friend.

    19. ZanthrinGamer on

have some balls saying much of anything after covering for systemic pedophilia and worse for over a century…

    20. SectorEducational460 on

I don’t see polyamory rising nowhere near as people claim. It’s ridiculously niche, and most tend to avoid it because of the bad publicity of it.

    21. TheBanishedBard on

      … Why is this news?

The Pope condemns a lifestyle that’s against its basic teachings.

In other news my geography teacher warned me the world isn’t flat.

    22. drucifer271 on

I wonder if my polycule knows they’re living in sin. I’ll have to bring it up at the next roundtable.

    23. „succession of faces“ and „exclusive union“ great double album names

    24. naretoigres on

f-k off – what two or three, or four, consenting adults down in unison, is between them and God.

    25. For all of the people on here commenting about how they’ve never met poly people in healthy relationships, maybe get out more? I’ve known several. My husband and I have been together for over 20 years and we are polyamorous for the last 10. Our relationship is stronger than ever. 🤷

If people were more secure in themselves, and if we weren’t raised with this bullshit that one other person has to be your everything for your whole life, I think more people would succeed in a poly relationship model.

There’s nothing so useful as relationship advice from supposedly celibate men.
