Does it “understand” anything? It took OpenAI so much effort just to get it to stop adding em dashes when asked to.

Interesting, it does kind of lack the sharp edges of a human mind. Finer details get lost imo but it makes up for it in overview understanding.

That’s not true. You just have to prime it for things like humor, sarcasm (sometimes), puns, hyperbole, etc.
