So, the entire reason given why she was demoted from Foreign Affairs to Industry was that she wanted to be in Canada more often to spend time with her young family. Now, she wants to be permanently stationed in France – doesn’t add up.

Forced to read a Lilley article with the hopes that he would provide the names of any rumoured additions to cabinet, but unfortunately he only talked departures (all of which besides Joly were known).

But man is he ever a funny writer. You can fully tell that his roots are with a less professional outlet like Rebel News, and he fits right in with the Sun lol.

Just when I start to cool on Carney I see something like this and it feels like he’s 2 moves ahead.

I think this is a great call and it’s setting up a lot of his agenda for the spring. I’d welcome him getting his own hand picked cabinet and do a bit more American style executive branch running of things.

I think Carney wants to see some major changes and I don’t think that’s a bad thing.

I’ll be interested to see who the party picks to run in some of these by-elections. I’d bet it’s going to be a lot of private sector talent.

Lilley is a PC/CPC mouthpiece and not a credible source for Liberal insider gossip…

I expect this to be exactly as true as rumours that the ghost of Jack Layton is crossing the floor to the Greens.

Seems a bit odd when he’s only a few seats away from a majority. This would put him further away. Unless he’s thinking of forcing an election in the spring, or has some insider info about other floor crossings or a CPC putsch.
