They’ve just started using VPNs and are creating new accounts. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were already posting again.

Probably were being paid tbh.

Build up a following of MAGA folks who fall for bullshit, then scam them as they are already likely to believe any old crap you tell them.

A while ago I made a new twitter. Followed like NFL teams and then started refreshing the feed a few times a day.

It didn’t take long before the right wing outrage bait started filling the feed. The way it would work is some bullshit „Johnny Eagle“ or whatever account would post „BREAKING: *MADE UP BULLSHIT*“ then others would like clockwork comment and repost. Within like 10 minutes a different account would do the same.

Then if something DID get picked up on news or anything the cycle would slow down and they’d all start piling in on the same thing. But it was very clearly systematic and formulaic.

Boycott X, Meta, TikTok, Snap, etc. I’m looking forward to the reboot of Digg, tho I was never on it so I don’t know what to expect but I hear good things. No idea the money behind it though which I should probably look into. All I’m now is Reddit and YT.

Bet there’s more. The website depends on the bots not just to spread propaganda but also artificially inflate site traffic. I would suspect.

On other sites that shall remain unnamed, you had accounts that clearly trolled gor MAGA and Trump for years and were clearly foreign operations (the site itself situated outside the West, visited by many Westerners).
In 2016, it wasn’t yet well calibrated and you could literally read the Russian accent like „I am just average man from American small town…“, later it was more sophisticated and connected to the main propaganda machines like Turning Point USA, PragerU, etc.
2020 was the interesting because you had intense output in favor of Trump right until the election but when it became clear that he lost, radio silence. These troll accounts clearly had served their missi9n and withdrew within a second.

You could also see the shift from coordinated narratives to hopeless Trump supporters just babbling, because the foreign actors weren’t as privy to the developing narrative of „they stole the election“, so you could see the shift in storytelling and intensity.

So yeah, that foreign actors prop up MAGA should be clear, that’s what the Russian influence campaign was about from the start. Foreigners helped build MAGA, because MAGA weakens America, as is evident more than ever. But it has always been the intention of foreign actors to divide Americans and make their leadership chaotic and ineffective. How successful they’d become, I think no one, not even they themselves, predicted

Fuck I am beginning to hate The Daily Beast as much as I am hating the Fox Networks.

I am starting to downvote Daily Beast at the same rate I downvote Fox.

It isn’t that I disagree with their articles but they are basically an email farming site at this point.
