    1. “A pretty hard R”… don’t Linus Sebastian nearly self cancel himself for using that wrongly..

Turns out making a film where the entire family can find something they like in it is a money maker.

No human violence to secure that PG-13 rating was a fucking boss move that unquestionably led to its box office success.

I don’t think that’s saying much. I loved 28 days later, 28 weeks later was pretty mediocre…but 28 inches later was a crap movie. I’ll watch it again if they ever drop a directors cut but I wasn’t impressed(I was…but not for the reasons I should be…)

I think Badlands was a weird take. It makes no sense to want the audience to become empathetic to a monster that in the original was fearsome precisely because it was such an amoral badass. Thia went through an inexplicable personality change.

It wasn’t a baaaad movie, but it wasn’t great either imho. After the credits rolled I turned to my friend and said “the dialogue saved it.” (It didn’t btw)

I still remember seeing a guy’s date give him a kiss when the credits rolled and said thanks, that was a great movie. It hits on important issues like family and loyalty.

    6. Right time, not right movie. It’s fun and has special effects that look better on a big screen and no competition.

But everyone will forget this movie existed in 3 years

Good. If Predator reaches $210M it would consider this movie a hit or successful
