As has been said many times, timing is everything. All my toys got fully configured when things were cheap – 1x64GB and 3x32GB. The same goes for the 1TB M.2 SSDs.

      Paid 349 for my 96GB, 6800MT/s kit.

A 128GB kit, which I do need to upgrade to (work) is 1k. Lmfao.

      We’ve lost the plot.

    3. Jesus. I paid $204 for 64gb of 6000MT/s cl30 back in 2023. It’s nice to have but I cant imagine dropping $600 on it.

    4. Just past night I was maxing out my 64gb kit and thought it’d be nice to get a 2nd… Check the price and quickly determined that infact 64gb and waiting around for my programs is just fine.

    5. Dram shortage, sure. Of course it’s not an artifical shortage caused deliberately to hike commodity items right? Right?!

Anyone remember when RAM was so cheap there were memes about it comming in boxes of cereal for free?

    7. I paid 200 for 64 gigs of ram a month ago. Exact same kit is 700 now, fucking ridiculous
