Bu bizi kürd ya da kürdləri azərbaycanlı etmir. Sadəcə ikimizin də əsas generik əcdadı olan Manna genetikamızın yarısını onlar üçün hətta daha çoxunu təşkil edir. Mannalılar da nə Hint avropalı idi nə də Türki. Bu mannalıların bir hissəsi hint-avropalılarla qarışdı kürdlər formalaşdı, bir hissəsi türklərlə qarışdı biz Azərbaycan milləti formalaşdıq
kurds are north western iranics and many if not most ancestors of azeris before turkification were also north western iranics. theres also kurdish tribes that assimilated/have been absorbed by the oghuz turks, like the donbali tribe and possibly others we dont know about

Due to the similar ancient ancestral components being shared in roughly similar (to avoid confusion, not the same) proportions. It’s not a result of historical intermixing apart from (considering Kurds mainly were not inhabiting Transcaucasia) some Turkmens getting absorbed into Kurds over time, which also explains their East Eurasian ancestry. More „realistic“ and academically employed metrics such as the fixation index (FST) would yield different results as there is not much recent ancestral overlap which is what it takes into consideration to put it simply.
