In den 1970er Jahren litt Anneliese unter zunehmend extremen Symptomen – Stimmenhören, Orientierungslosigkeit, religiöse Fixierungen und Phasen der Angst um sich selbst und andere. Einige der Beschreibungen klingen für mich wie klassische psychiatrische Zeichen, andere scheinen direkt aus einem Handbuch über dämonische Besessenheit zu stammen. Und das Verrückte ist: Je nach Quelle klingt es völlig anders. Sie erhielt medizinische Diagnosen, darunter Epilepsie und mögliche psychische Störungen. Gleichzeitig waren ihre religiösen Interpretationen (und die ihrer Umgebung) so intensiv, dass am Ende mehrere Exorzismen durchgeführt wurden – insgesamt 67 Sitzungen. Manche der Aufnahmen sind wirklich schwer anzuhören, egal ob man sie als natürlich oder übernatürlich interpretiert.

Most likely she was just a very unwell lady and nobody managed to help her.
I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of demons though, definitely intriguing
Earlier this week I read a insightful post on Reddit, about possessions. Why would a demon possess this girl? How much damage can it possibly do? Realistically, they would rather go for people in the upper echelons, with power, with reach, that can cause maximum suffering to billions. If she really was possessed, this demon really missed the memo. I think this was mental illness misdiagnosed. And it was very unfortunate
Is this the one where they starved and murdered the poor girl because they didn’t understand mental health?
Why women or children are possessed but less men in the literature of this phenomena?

It is unusual how they could not deliver her after such extreme measures, I do wonder.
Coming from someone who knows too much about demonology and possessions.
You would be sick to your stomach if you knew how common demons oppressing people for sure are, but I see possessed people all the time in the streets if not daily every other day it’s getting worse.
Is people in this sub seriously considering demon possession as a real possibliity?
