    1. I doubt he can be any worse than Jenni Byrne, though it will be interesting to see if they can fully root her out from wherever she’s rooted herself in the party. Without Byrne sabotaging nominations they would have won a bunch more seats in the last election.

I will say that I’ll miss the high production value ads that became a staple of Byrne’s campaigns, they were pretty iconic, though they were a complete and total waste of money.

Outhouse is probably the best option in Canadian conservative politics right now (though, that’s not necessarily saying much when the other option is Jenni Byrne lol).

That being said, it doesn’t mean much if you can’t get the leader to buy into your plan.

He seems to have done well in Newfoundland but beware of the New Brunswick experience. They took the Conservative Party so far right in nb they even had a mass media preacher woman running as a candidate. They tried to build the whole thing on culture war wedge issues. It backfired in New Brunswick but we should be in for another nasty campaign in the next election if he’s at the top of it.

Outhouse must revive PP’s apple munching and sloganeering strategy to compete with Carney. This is the best strategic option to grow his outreach.
