Two lads, shooting out of opposite sides of what I guess is an Mi-8, above cloud level, no communication with the pilot, just for all intents and purposes firing at random.

And apparently this is the CRPF? Ostensibly a police force? This is not how to get anything done.

Edited to add, did some digging on the subject, and there seems to be some success in general trends towards peace in those regions, which isn’t a bad thing in terms of finally bringing an end to a decades-long insurgency.

Although I suspect the hard work is being done by things other than spray and pray helicopter flybys.
